A forum for Healers and Seekers
Between staying on top of work, taking care of a family, devoting time to romantic relationships, and maintaining other social connections, it’s easy to see why so many people are overwhelmed and stressed out. Some stress is necessary to keep you motivated and working toward your goals – but too much stress can actually contribute to a number of health concerns, including asthma, weight gain, digestive disorders, and even cancer.
Making time in your daily routine to deal with stress…Continue
Every once in a while an idea comes along which is so brilliant and yet seems so tough to implement because of the nature of its complexity. This is not that time. Behold! A new and improved way to address resistance, and it's SO easy to do.
This involves simply recognizing the point of botheration/resistance/painful issue....
Let me illustrate with an example. Imagine a table that becomes the place holder for every tidbit at home that doesn't have a place of…Continue

A little over 30 years ago, a teenager named Jadav "Molai" Payeng began burying seeds along a barren sandbar near his birthplace in northern India'sAssam region to grow a refuge for wildlife. Not long after, he decided to dedicate his life to this endeavor, so he moved to the site where he could work full-time creating a lush new forest ecosystem. Incredibly, the spot today hosts a sprawling 1,360 acre of jungle that Payeng planted…Continue

1) Have a better definition of health
Weil noted that most people, even doctors, are limited in their capacity to describe what true health is. In his words: "Health is a state of balance and wholeness that allows you to move through the world and not get sick. You're exposed to toxins, but they don't cause cancer. You're exposed to germs but don't get ill. You're surrounded by allergens but have no allergies. More than anything, it's about an inner quality of…Continue

I read of a man who stood to speak
at the funeral of a friend.
He referred to the dates on her tombstone
from the beginning...to the end.
He noted that first came the date of her birth…
1. Life isn’t fair, but it’s still good.
2. When in doubt, just take the next small step.
3. Life is too short to waste time hating anyone.
4. Don’t take yourself so seriously. No one else does.
5. Pay off your credit cards every month.
6. You don’t have to win every argument. Agree to disagree.
7. Cry with someone. It’s more healing than crying alone.
8. It’s OK to get angry with God. He can take it.
9. Save for retirement…

"I would like to be just like you" - said the young caterpillar to the butterfly. "Everyday I dream of having beautiful colorful wings that will allow me to go places I've never been, in speeds I never thought possible. If I had wings like you I'd explore this vast land, dance with the afternoon breeze, have fun while being chased by innocent children and bathe in the sun by the river while kissing every flower in the neighborhood."

Viewing time as linear makes our consciousness fragmented into past, present, and future. When we are fragmented in this way, we lose our free will because we don't see things clearly. By learning to live as a whole person in the present moment, we become free and powerful.
My first mentor, Mr. Shoaff, taught me—over a five-year period of time before he died—some extraordinarily simple things...
Mr. Shoaff only went through the 9th grade. He never finished high school, never went to college, and never went to a university. So he put his experiences and ideas into very simple…Continue

"I mourn the loss of thousands of precious lives, but I will not rejoice in the death of one, not even an enemy. Returning hate for hate multiplies hate, adding deeper darkness to a night already devoid of stars. Darkness cannot drive out darkness: only light can do that. Hate cannot drive out hate: only love can do that."
What a profound thinker that man was. I couldn't…Continue
This is on behalf of VijaySai a CHII alumnus from Bangalore.
This is a request to all healers on Healer's Ocean. Please send healing for Sathya Sai Baba. He's in a critical condition and has not responded to any treatment for the past 30 mins. Do treat this as very urgent.
Man lives his life from behind a thousand and one beliefs. And hence most human beings don’t live; they just exist. But is not belief important? Don’t you have to believe in someone or something? Don’t you have to believe in certain concepts, ideas, facts, to live life here? Don’t you have to believe in others? Don’t you have to believe in yourself? Don’t you have to believe in God or a higher power? How is it possible to live life on earth, without any beliefs? A belief, by definition, is…Continue

This is a piece I read by a lady called Cyndi Krupp. Seemed like a good idea to share :-)
Just this afternoon I was struck by a comment a beloved friend made…
“Our Problems are small relative to the horror that is happening in the World – It Makes Me So Angry To Learn…”
I then listened for a few minutes as he…Continue
